Reset Form Lisence Agreement Help

At the top of your UrGen page you will see three menu buttons.

Menu.

  1. Reset Form: clears memory and resets to defaults.
  2. License Agreement: You must read and agree with the License Agreement in order to use UrGen.
  3. Help: Activates this help file.
Below the first horizontal rule you will see the fonts section.

Fonts.

You can customize the font attributes for each message or ‘Days Hours’ section that are generated by UrGen. Just click on the desired message or ‘Days Hours’ section, to select the radio button, and set the font and attributes. You can preview and make adjustments easily.

  1. Font: You can chose between – Browser Default, Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New and Georgia fonts.
  2. I: Italics
  3. B: Bolds
  4. U: Underlines
  5. Apply to all Selections: Applies selected font and attributes to all UrGen messages and ‘Days Hours’ sections so you don’t have to apply the same properties individually to each section (use this if you are in a hurry).

Everything below the second horizontal line is the Body of UrGen. These are the customized messages that the selected fonts will be applied to.

Body.

  1. Days: Enter the number of days you would like it to appear that your special is running. Or…
  2. Hours: Enter the number of hours you would like it to appear that your special is running. Or… You can use both. For example: Days 3, Hours 6 = 78 hours
  3. Product ID: You are required to have a product ID even if you are selling only one product. That way if you decide to add products each product has its own ID and code. This feature allows you to run multiple specials, each on their own schedule.
  4. Offer: You can modify the text of your offer. Just highlight or delete the default text “The offer will expire in” and type in your own. This text is part of the code generated by UrGen. On your web page, you will probably describe your special, then enter the generated code and your “offer” is the text that will accompany the active countdown numbers/timer. This is the first time you prospect will see UrGen in action. This text will be hyperlinked to the URL where your prospect can buy at the lower price if URL is entered in ‘Discount URL’ field.
  5. Days/Hours: To the right of the Offer field you will see the radio button to customize the font and attributes of the time (days and/or hours) which is displayed before the deadline and expiration of your special for that user. If you visitor does not proceed to purchase your special on their first visit then each time they return to your page the timer will have less available time left on it.
  6. Last Chance: Any time a prospect revisits your page within the last hour available for them, to take advantage of your offer, they will see a new message, which alerts them that they are in their last hour. This really creates an urgency to buy! By using this field you can customize the message they will see in that hour. This text will also be hyperlinked to the URL where your prospect can buy at the lower price.
  7. Expired: Any time a prospect returns to the page after their deadline has arrived and the special offer has expired for them they will see another message telling them that the “special is over” (and the timer is still running, showing how many days and hours ago your offer ended for them), yet allowing them to still purchase your product at your regular price. There are two customizable lines of text associated with the expired message:
    1. The default text, “Sorry, the special has been expired for”, will appear before the timer and,
    2. The default text, “. However, you can still purchase at our regular price” will appear after the timer.

This text will be hyperlinked to the URL where your prospect can buy at the higher price.

  1. Days/Hours: To the right of the Expired field you will see the radio button to customize the font and attributes of the amount of time transpired (days and/or hours) which is displayed since the deadline and expiration of your special for that user. Each time they return to your page the timer will have more transpired time on it.
  2. Discount URL: Insert the URL you would like people to visit in order to purchase at your special price. The active timer and message will hyperlink to this page. (The URL you enter must be a complete path including the protocol, ie. http://domainname.com/path.filename or https:// if you're server is secure)
  3. Regular URL: Insert the URL you would like people to visit in order to still purchase, but at the retail price. The transpired timer and message will hyperlink to this page. (The URL you enter must be a complete path including the protocol, ie. http://domainname.com/path.filename or https:// if you're server is secure)
  4. Generate Code: Once you have customized your messages click on the “Generate Code” button to preview your UrGen messages. Your three UrGen messages will be displayed in the “Previews” section of the page.
    1. If you want to accept these settings, just copy the generated code
    2. You can make changes by clicking on the “make changes” button
    3. You can start over by clicking on the Reset Form button
After the Code was copied.
  1. You can paste the copied code anywhere in your html page where you would like those messages or links appear.

  2. You could also surround it by, or include it within, any html code.

  3. Normally, the file that you will be pasting the code to can be anything.html or anything.htm, but some servers require the file type of anything.shtml or anything.shtm

  4. Suggestion: try using files with .html or .htm extentions, if you see errors are being generated, contact your hosting company and ask them to enable SSI on .html and .htm; if they are not able or not willing to do that, you should rename the file extension where the code was pasted to .shtml or .shtm and fix all the links pointing to these files from other places accordingly.
